Grouping without Sorting

Is it possible to group records, without sorting them. I mean :
When I use dialogbox sort&group to create sections in my report, I am forced to sort asc or desc. And I Only want to group, but I don't want to sort!

Please help me, I'm in a hurry (and desperate)!

Um, if you think about it, it is hard to group without sorting as that creates the groups. You can have several layers of groups and you can change the Group Interval (Each Value or Prefix Characters) and the Group On (# of characters to group on) options. If this does not help, can you post some sample data?
