May you find peace and contentment on this day set aside by the U.S. Congress to remember why we exist as a country. To people from other nations who wonder why we have a Thanksgiving holiday, it comes from a tradition started by some very religious people over three hundred years ago, people who gave thanks for surviving difficult conditions in their colony after hardship and isolation. They left their home to find a new one where they could find religious freedom and bountiful resources.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Despite our varied backgrounds, interests & differences, I wish everyone a wonderful time with family if you celebrate this holiday. I'm thankful for the Pilgrims, and everyone who came after, who helped the USA become what we are blessed to live in today. Cheers!
