To those members who celebrate our holiday and to those who just want to take a second to appreciate the good in our lives, Happy Thanksgiving!

We don't do Thanksgiving this side of the pond, but I have plenty of friends Stateside, so Happy Thanksgiving to all our American members.

Nice setup, NG! I use an older kettle that is modded with grommets for temp probes and a temp gauge facing the front like yours.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

It's the Weber Charcoal Summit. Weber's answer to the Green Egg and Kamodo. It has rendered my other grill and smoker obsolete.

I used it to smoke the turkey this year instead of frying it. The brine and recipe I used were a big hit which means this will be by process going forward...

My granddaughter hosted for the first time. She managed to get everything hot at the same time which is pretty amazing for someone with zero experience in serving a large meal. Everything was fabulous. Even the cat fell asleep after OD'ing on Turkey.

We had lots to give thanks for this year so we did. Hope you all had a great time with your families.

We decided to keep it very small, didn't travel anywhere nor did we have anyone over because they are all too far away. A lot of my family got together in Wisconsin but I've just taken too many trips recently and I'm so sick of traveling I couldn't take it. We had some good turkey and the typical sides and I got in a few episodes of White Collar which I'm almost finished with sadly.

We have so much to be thankful though for, my son is only 22 and is already a few months away from his Masters in engineering, My daughter has her degree but is still figuring out what she really wants to do, they have zero student debt and I am so proud of them,, and we are all healthy and together 26 years and counting and that's what's important to me.

I forgot to mention that I got custody of the carcass so I made turkey soup this morning. I'm in heaven with the smell of it cooking but the house feels like a sauna:(

@Isaac My husband and I travelled the country from contract to contract for 6 years and it was hard to get "home" for holidays so if it was just the three of us, we called a local college and asked them to fix us up with exchange students who wanted to have a holiday dinner with an American family. We met some great kids over the years from all over the world and shared great stories. I strongly recommend this if you find yourself without close family to celebrate with. It will make you and the kids you take in for the meal very happy.

That is quite an accomplishment. The relatively few times that I cook that's always the challenge, getting people to eat it at just the right time.

White Collar is coming back! I actually spent two days on their set and met Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, and Marsha Thomassan, plus guest star Treat Williams!

This time around, we didn't have the kids with us. Both sets were with the in-law sides. Just a couple of friends who would otherwise have been alone on Thanksgiving. We get the full complement on Christmas, though.

That's awesome, I was happy when treat was starring in some of those episodes I've always thought he was a good person. How did that come to be? That you were able to be on set That you were able to be on set

The USA network used to have fan forums. I was a member of the White Collar forum. One of our members had contacts in the entertainment field and for four years, a group of us traveled to NY and we're invited to Silvercup Studios East where it was filmed. I took the trip one year. Matt, Tim, and Marsha are fantastic. Treat decided to greet us when we were at the outdoor filming. It was a great trip !
