Have sub total

How do I input subtotals in to a report to add the total value of the numbers at a set point. I.e. so that I can have all the different types of subjects totalled up?

If you want at the end, then add text boxes and set recordsource to sum([recordsource]), where [recordsource] is the record source for the text box you want totalled. Will also need to amend properties of text box so that properties of running sum is set to over all
