Having a reminder pop up based on a field

I have a database that is a phonebook of friends and I want to have access popup when their birthday matches the system calendar. Is there a way to make a database a program that can run in the system tray. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I now have a query calculating whose birthday it is today, is it able to pop the records in this query up if it contains any?
