Hi. My name is Chris. I'm new to Access programming. I live in US, California. I'm a market refrigeration technician. Why am I here? I joined because our office currently uses a paper system for our service department so I took the initiative of trying to build a database. I'm in over my head to say the least. I've built something pretty decent in excel with userforms and VBA but I've realized having multiple users is going to be an issue. I won't have many users but I'm conserned that someone will be trying to add data at the same time as someone else or just trying to view data at the same time. You get the point I'm sure. I've pretty much had to start rewriting the vba code from scratch to store my data in Access instead of in a excel workbook. I've been searching for answers on the internet and just haven't been able to find what I need to know or maybe I'm just not understanding. Maybe both. haha Everything I know about VBA and Access is all self taught with books, the internet and trial and error. I'm looking forward to getting to chat with some of you and making some progress. I've been at it for 7 months now and I'm sick of banging my head against the wall trying to figure everything out on my own. haha

Welcome to the Forum.

The best place to start is to post a copy of your Database tables and ask for someone to review them.

Tables is where most people make their first mistakes.

Good luck with the project.
