anyone got any ideas how to solve it im on access 97
if it is just that i have got a libary missing then could you please attach it here or email it to me plz

Might be totaly wrong here, but trying using a different word. MDB could be a reserved word though have tried to recreate your prob and it seems to work fine. If that doesn't solve it then it might be worth posting the code.

Search here for missing references, seems the cause

Not sure, but it is possible that 'MDB' is a reserved word. VBA will not like reserved words being used as variable names.
