1st I`d like to say thank you to those of you that have answered my questions in the past. This forum and it's members have helped me a great deal and i`m very thankfull.

Now for my question =)

I have created a small database to track orders from my customers using 2 tables (PQ/Order) table and (Purchase Order) Table

The PQ/Order table holds both orders and price quotes requested from my customers. A check box lets me distinguish weather a record is a PQ or an Order

Once a PQ turns into and Order all I have to do is bring up that record and and check the box telling me it's an order now and fill in a few more fields such as a (PO#) field.

Now the real question... Is it possible on the (PQ/Order) form when i enter a number in the (PO#) field that it will Automaticaly create a new record in the (Purchase Order) form using that number?

I`m sorry if this is hard to understand as i`m still very "green" when it comes to access.
I hope i`ve made my question clear enough for you to understand.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Best Regards,

Tim

I would be more tempted to put a procedure on the check box that once it is checked it automatically assigns the PO# and transfers the information.

I guess the simple answer is yes it can. If you need some help drop me an email and I will have a look at it and see what I can do for you.

Thanks DES I didnt even think about that option.

I`ll try it and if i can't figure it out i`ll let ya know.

Thanks much for the reply =)
