Help with Subform (1 Viewer)

I am using Access for both the front and back end. I am fixing a budget application. It has a main form and subform. The main form is where one adds individual expenses and the subform shows all the expenses entered. Could someone tell me how to make the subform clickable. I want to be able to click on one record in the subform and have the record be displayed in the main form for editting. The main form's fields have editting rules.

If anyone has done this, could you please let me know.

Im not all that sure how to set it up,
But there is an example of this in the Northwind database that might be helpful to look at.
