Having struggled and made an accounts system written in Access by a friend for his own use into a menu driven, multi-user tool when I had zero training and had to teach myself as I went along, I've realised how complicated good database applications are and how useful supportive colleagues can be. So, when I chanced upon this community while searching for answers to a problem, it seemed sensible to register and get myself a bit of backup.
I'm an old computer hand but it's all been technical stuff like audio measurements and 3D design work. databases are a new field for me. Not being the youngest recruit to databases at nearly 72 probably doesn't help either. :banghead: But the sheer pleasure of solving problems has been a good experience.
