when you have searched for a recod is there a way to highlight the fields in say "yellow" once they have been found

You confuse me when you say "fields" - I'm guessing you mean "bound textboxes".

In your code for your search, if it is successfull then yuo can change the forecolor, backcolor, or bordercolor of your controls using those properties.

i.e

Me.txtName.BackColor = RGB(255,0,0)

Me.txtName.BackColor = 255

Me.txtName.BackColor = vbRed


Incidentally, all three of those lines will change the backcolor of a textbox to red.

I have a report that show what each saleman has sold and the total profit they have made.

can I put a button on a form whcih will print of the the saleman report with the highest profit
