Hello! Please help me! I am a website administrator and don’t want to send back a verification email as people register on my website. So, I am wondering whether there is a way for me to check the validity of their registered email addresses. Do you have any idea” How can I easily check whether an email address is valid or exists?

well other than the usual ....@....DOT... validation... not really.

You can also try sending a "welcome" email, if it doesnt exist it will eventually get bounced, thus telling you its invalid.... but the turn around can be in a few minutes or days.... so dont know if it is usable...

First, realize exists is a subset of valid. By yourself you can determine if an email is valid, but you are going to need an external system (the one the email is said to belong to) to determine if it exists. And the only way to do that is to send an email.

For validity, check google. It's 2013, no matter what language you want to use, a function exists on the internet that you can use to check validity of an email address. It involves a series of rules (correct length, no illegal characters, existence of @, etc.) and is out there. Existence though, can only be determined by using that email address.

Yes, in your case, sending an email to the registered email address can be a really easy way for you to check whether it is valid or exists.

Or, you also can try to apply a free email verifier named Dr Email Verifier, which has helped me removed many bad email addresses from my email contact list. Its “Single Mode” always allow you to enter an email address and show you the verifying state in seconds.
