I am trying to put together a form that I can enter orders into. What I want is what is in the sample NorthWind database. I am very new to Access and am quite confused.

What I am trying to do is have it where you pick the customers name out of a dropdown list and it will automaticly put in the shipping information. As much as I try I can't seem to figure this out.

Are there any online courses that I could take that would help me understand Access better?

I would reccomend picking up a good reference book - because what you are trying to do is simple and can be done quickly with wizards. A good reference book will allow you to access all kind of answers really quickly.(my saviors have been the Access 2000 Bible and VBA Handbook)

You can copy and paste the form into your db, but the connections won't be there. In order to make a drop-down combo box that looks up a record when you choose a name - make sure that your wizard button is clicked on your toolbar (the little wand), and then drag and drop a combo box from the toolbar onto your form. The wizard will ask you waht you want to do - and it's the last choice 'look up a record based on....'. Just walk throught the steps with the wizard and you've got it. Of course - you have to have a form created with records to look up.......are you good with all that?
