How do I print a calculated field?

Im trying to set up an Inventory report. I have a long list of items that are grouped by Brand. The form I use to enter inventory info, (Receiveing, Exporting), Has calculated fields that I need to show up on my report. When I set the control of the Balance text box to the Balance text box on my form, I get an error message. Please, any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Repeat the calculations on the report

Can you put the calculations in your underlying query? Then you could pull the calculated result from Forms, Reports, or other queries.
