I don't know about you all, but designing forms is one of the hardest things to do in Access, if you ask me. It's a heck of a lot more difficult than coding the dumb thing! I'm kinda interested in you all's efforts in designing forms and such. I know of button makers and things on the internet, and other interesting little tools to use for cool designs, but by god...you can sure spend a whole lotta time doing nothing when designing forms! I sometimes wonder how important they really are, but without a good design, I'm sure nothing that I ever made would ever had sold!

MM1,

Nah ... reports are far worse.

They're the things that happen after the forms.

Curious, what version of Access are you using?

What are you spending so much time on?

Why not show us something you have sold, screen shots…that sort of thing.
(If it’s any good then others may buy it just on your posting here.)

With that we may have a starting point from which to base an answer.

Regards,
Chris.

Good db design makes writing both aspects a tad easier, but 'dumbing' down a report to prevent data corruption at the user-level can get intricate.

Overall, I cast my vote with Wayne - reports are far worse. I'd rather set my hair on fire than design reports.
