How to change field list on different page within the same form?

Hi there,

My form has 20 pages. I want data from page 1-10 to go to table1 and data from page11-20 to go table2. Can i change the field list in page 11-20? If yes, how?

Table1 and table2 are in one-to-one relationship.

I suspect that you don't have a normalized structure and, if not, you should investigate that as it will keep you from great pain that I believe you are about to suffer.

However, what you can do is to use subforms on the tabs to be able to have different tables being used on the same form. But, if you are trying to do the same table then don't use a subform for that one table and just put all of the various fields on the different tabs.

But, again - if you have 20 pages then I suspect that you are thinking more in a "spreadsheet mentality" (short and wide) instead of relational database terms (long and narrow).

oh Hi again bob! it is good to see you here!

This is what happens to the database.

I have a big questionnaire which is 20 pages long to be entered into a databse.

There are around 400+ variables so I was not able to fit them all in one table. I splitted it into 2 tables and use ID one-to-one to connect these 2 tables.

My form needs to look like the paper questionnaire which is 20 pages long. So I have 20 page tabs in one form.

And you are absolutely right about me thinking of a spreadsheet. I am nothing ever close to a ACCESS form expert. and 20 page tab is the closest thing i can think of.

What would you do/ design the form? Really love to hear some ideas before i finished the form and found it didn't work!

Is it possible for me to get you to post the db here? If you compact it and then zip it you can have a file size of 393KB or less here.

If I see what you currently have, maybe I can make some suggestions for something that will be better and work for you.

I tried to compress my ACCESS file but even the zipped file is still way too big- 9,261kb. Any other way i can attach the zipped file?
