how to create cumulative percentages in Access Report

Question:

Is it possible to get cumulative percentage of a running total withn an ACCESS report? I am able to do a running total of a balance column using the Control Source in the text box properties, but can not figure out how to get the cumulative percentage to work.

For example, the accumlative balance below is calculated by taking the amount/sum(amount) to get the percentage.

amount   cumulative %
10.20         1%
44.23         6%
343.34      43%
399.99      50%
--------
Total 797.76

I tried putting this command =[amount]/Sum([amount]) in the Control Source, but it does not work.

I use cumulative percentages in Access Reports AC2003 .

I use the names of the two text boxes to obtain my average not the formula.
I also format my text box "Standard" Not Percentage
Example :=

=[Amount]/([Text80]/100)
"Text80 or the name of the textbox containing your sum total/
I do no profess to be a professional programmer so there might wel be other and better way but, hope this is a help to you.
