Hi all,

i'm new to microsoft access and needed lot of help from everyone.
I have attached my work with it. Please do take a look. Thanks.

Current problem is that I wanted to display details on a subform in my formStock after i do a search. Beside that, i want to calculate the quantity from another form. For example: quantity from formAsset minus quantity from formLoan and display it on formStock "Availability".

Can someone please help me with this?

Thank you so much.

Few points:
1) Your quantity fields in the tables are set as text, when they should be numbers. You can't do calculations with text (well you can but it makes life so much more complex)
2) Except in a virtual way, forms don't hold data, tables hold data. You take the data from your tables, probably using a query, in order to do do the calculations.
3) Storing stock balances in a table is not the best way to go about it. You should calculate it when you need it. There's lots of infomation in these forums on stock control or inventory. Do a search.
