I tried to import a CSV file
when import to access I see these symbols before the field name "ï»؟

What should I do
I can rename the field

I don't want to rename the field because I don't know which field will contain these symbols

I ask if their code to handle the file before import

I don't need an external application I need it done throw access VBA

here is a thread that discusses the problem but didn't contain a solution

The problem with UTF-n files (there are several options for n, including 8) is that they contain "special" characters. You can TRY to use NotePad as follows.

1. Open the file in NotePad
2. Prepare to save the file, but when picking the new name, ALSO choose to save the file in ANSI format.
3. Don't delete the original file (just in case), but try to import the saved ANSI version instead of the UTF-8 version.

What should I do
In the text file import wizard click "Advanced" button and then select "Codepage:" Unicode (UTF8)
