Images on continuous forms (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to create a continuous form with a dynamic image on it in Access 2013. I have created a text field that contains the path for the image and drop it on the form, I drop an image control on the form as well, select my text field for my image path in the control source, but no picture appears at all. I have tried change my picture type property to every type available. Am I missing something? Does this functionality even work? Please help.

continuous forms with images will not work if you are using paths.
you must execute a LOADPICTURE function to load the image from the path.
But because its continuous the 1 photo will be in ALL records.

Tho It WILL work with the actual images in an OLE field.

It did work Ranman. I needed to shut off "Convert All Picture data to bitmaps" in Options/current database

That is true in Access 2003 and older.

This does work in the newer versions of Access. I do it all the time with Access 2010. I can't remember if was added in 2010 or 2007.

You can have a field in a table with the path to a image file. You can bind a image control to the field just like you would a textbox. Access ill display a different picture for every record in a continuous form.


Here is an example with NO VBA code required. Only a bound image control.
