Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone has had success using an Adobe form to collect data, and then import that data into Access? I was looking at/hoping to use XML.

Essentially, I have a need to collect data "off network" and then import it into Access, and wonder if Adobe is the best place to create my collection forms.

Feedback from anyone trying to do something similar would be awesome.

Thanks,

Don

I have never used Adobe but I do know it's possible with bookmarks. Have you considered Info Path?

Thanks for that both answers. Yes, I've an implementation working with InfoPath, but apparently MS is dropping the product. Also, our InfoPath implementation relies on the forms being available on our network, and I was looking for something "off network" that could be readily distributed.

I don't need, nor, because of the off network piece, want to have the Adobe Form directly connected with the database (which I thinks is where the linked article is going). I really just want to be able to take the data from a saved Adobe Form and import it into my existing Access database.

I'll read the linked document more closely, as it may be giving the correct answer.

Thanks again for weighing in, I thought with the prevalence of Adobe forms that this would be easier than it appears to be...
