Does anyone know of a way to insert symbols (such as TM or SM or R with a circle around it) into a record?

Any help is appreciated.

The only way I know is to open the 'Character Map' in Windows and copy and paste them in like in MS Word

Look at character Set in the Help menu, there's actually 2 pages (0-127) and (128-255). Display a character using "chr(CharacterNumber)". You can concantenate such a character to other strings.

Hi awolf

Use the Alt key and the following codes:

Alt+0153 ™ (for Trade Mark)
Alt+0169 © (for copyright)
Alt+0174 ® (for registered)

The Alt+NumberCode works across all Windows programmes.

Thanks for all of the assistance. That really helped.

This also may be a solution for another one of my problems.

I need superscripted numbers for footnotes. I am able to find 0,1,2, and 3. Does anyone know of how to create additional characters or if the rest of the numbers are available through the character map?

Thanks,

Amy

Hi Amy

I think you may be limited to 0,1,2,3 as superscript characters within a normal font.

If you need others for a particular table (and it would have to apply across the whole table - to all the fields) you would need to change the font to something mathematical. I think this could be more trouble than it's worth ... but others on this forum may know better.

...thanks!

Actually, a mathematical font would probably work if I just changed the font for the control on the report to the math font and inserted the character for the superscripted number. Has anyone used a math font successfully within access (or for any other program)? As usual...assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Amy

Hi,
Where I can find Character map, so I can copy and paste the superscript 1 , 2 , etc.
Is it under windows directory or
under programs menu ?

Thanks in Advance
