Hi members

After years of creating application using Access in a LAN (peer2peer), I am looking for a fast & easy way to allow other users to access the centrally located data in the LAN via the internet. I have heard of intranet but due to the various OS i am not sure what the best way to go. The simplest way i think of is to use eg TeamViewer and allow a remote user to get to a machine in the LAN and run the front end application to a BE. This seems to be very primitive. Is there a more pro method of doing it in window platform without incurring toO much costs and complicated OS.

Advice appreciated.

A Terminal Server, there is a hardware cost, CALs and probably VPN costs. But it does mean that remote users log into the central environment and all calls are local to the BE.

You can also deliver documents spreadsheets and any other files as well as mail.
