Hi, I'm a new member and I am glad to be here because I need HELP. I am a retired "Jack of all Finance and Accounting Trades" for the Department of Defense.....And nothing in government is the way it is in real life
. I am really old and when I began there were no PCs; just macro computers, mini computers and dumb terminals-flat files. Although I did little to no programming, I wrote specs for new ones and the programmers loved mine. I began as a user and I can be very detailed especially with the "what ifs". I am volunteering to help mechanize a lot of applications at my church and I know enough to know that most of them belong in ACCESS. So.....I'm worse than a beginner, but I LOVE Access-I'm just old and dumb. I'm slowly reading and taking some online courses, but I declare, none of them really teach you the errors you'll run into in this process. So, I went on the net to ask a question about designing reports and by golly, there you were----discussing the very problem I'm having. I was delighted and excited. So.....my next post will be an addition to ones I've read. I really hope there is someone out there who is very patient and not too judgmental because I really need a lot of help. I don't want to let the folks down at my church. I think this icon works for "I'm Desperate" and "Under Time Restraints". :banghead:I'm glad to be here and thanks to all!!!
