so i just reinstalled my windows xp and having this weird problem.
whenever i try to open a .mp3 file it gives me the " XYZ is not a valid Win32 application." i've tried settings to double and single clicking the files, doesn't solve anything. so far i've only found .mp3 files to have this problem. .wma files work just fine for me. but the weird thing is, is that if i open a media player, such as windows media player, and drag and drop them into the play list, it plays. also 'right click>open with' also works fine.
i've already scanned my computer with A-Squared, AVG Anti-Spyware, Spyware Doctor, and a free online scan from Symantec and nothing came up. i've also did a repair installation from the windows install disc, which also didn't help.
can someone help me?? thanks.
