I have access 2007 and I have updated for SP2 knowing that SP2 includes the SP1.

Question: Are Service packs and hotfix cumulative?

Situation:

I have setup my "Display Navigation Pane" to false so that it is not displayed. However when I run my docmd.transferdatabase statement, the navigation pane appears and stays visible.

Though I have managed to close/hide the navigation pane using docmd.runcommand accmdwindowhide after the docmd.transferdatabase statement.

I have read in the internet that this is a bug and fixed by SP1 in this link http://bytes.com/topic/access/answe...-after-programatically-linking-external-table

Conclusion:

Eventhough I have applied SP2, still the problem exists.

Any comments ? Any other way to solve this problem?

They certainly should be cumulative, but my preference for these sorts of things is to visit Microsoft Update (Windows Update's big brother) and let it sort out what patches and service packs are appropriate for my Office and other Microsoft applications (as well as Windows itself).
