I ve made some exercises since my last thread, and all works fine. One thing i noticed is that, when i open the db form on my pc,all is fine((apparently cause i made it there:)).When i open it on a laptop, the position of the text boxes is moved,or the basical text below them, and so the textboxes, where the kid has to fill the right word in, appears to cover the next word.Maybe it s a different resolution or screen size issue:/?The given text is copied-pasted as a common text on the background and on it are the textboxes.

Is there a way to lock everything into place?I ve already tried switching the ''automatically change size'' from the form properties from yes to no,but still nothing.

I also upload two pics, one from pc and one from laptop,to get an idea what is happening

That's very difficult to avoid using a standard proportional font.
Either change to a fixed width font like Courier New or change the design so you don't have boxes in the middle of a section of text

Not having boxes is not an option. At least i don t know any other way of putting spaces in a sentence so the kid will have to write the word in it.The box is connected to a results box to the right side, so if the typed word is correct, the result shows right and vise versa.

I tried consolas, as i found it s a fixed one as weell and it suited more...aesthetically,but still didn t help:/

Suggest you type a few underscores for the missing word to be completed and then place your box on the right just above the results box. Make the results box hidden until the entry box is completed

I assume that you're talking about the CanGrow Property...and this only applies to Printing or Print Previewing. It applies to Forms, as I understand it, only when Printing them...and Forms really shouldn't be Printed...only Reports should be Printed.
Maybe it s a different resolution or screen size issue?

Pretty sure that you nailed the cause right there! Simply way to test this is to check the resolution on the machine you developed the database on, then adjust the resolution on the laptop to match it and run the app. IF you looks as it should, that's your problem.

There are a number of hacks out there to adjust an Access database to account for differing resolutions...but they all come with the same caveat...to work best, the app needs to be developed in the lowest resolution that is likely to be encountered! In other words, all of these apps work best when sizing up.
