Label borders

I have been fooling around with label controls, unsuccessfully, trying to get a border to show on only three sides of the label. By changing the gridline properties I get absolutely zero change in the label's appearance. Not sure what those properties are even supposed to do. Help is appreciated. Sincerely, Usr_X.

Sorry, on a border for a control in Access it is either all or nothing.

This may be a work around or would achieve the same effect. If the label is stationary, and doesn't change size. You could make the border transparent and then draw lines where you want the border to appear.
