Hi,

can anyone explain - I would like to add a field which automatically displays the date. I have done this, however, I want this to be like a date stamp so if on a certain record, the date is 04/11/99, on the 5/11/99 I would like to date to still be 04/011/99.

Any ideas?

I think you need to set the default value in the properties window to Now() or Date(). This will enter present date/time stamping for new records only. I think what you have done is bound the contol to Now().
