Hello, you can call me smoke. I am trying to put together a small database to log license/permit information with the focus of keeping the licenses up to date.

I am completely new to coding in Visual Basic, let alone applying it to an Access database. However, I have a knack for learning code buy manipulating it's properties. That is how I learned HTML, XHTML, DHTML, PHP, JAVA, etc.

What I am trying to do is set up an automated process of sending emails to two different email address when a license in the database has one month before it expires.

*Hopefully my title and signature is just something to laugh about among you guys and girls.

Thank you for the help ahead of time. Any links to content that you think would be quick and easy to learn would be greatly appreciated.

We meet again here.

Unfortunately, databes design/programming is a lot more difficult to learn since there is a lot of therory about data normalization that can not be gleamed form the code. See this links I provided you in your post at Utter Access.

See if this helps get you started:

...eeep...

You don't understand. It is by experimenting that I am able to learn the fastest. I am more of a kinesthetic learner. Still, I will at least explore what you have posted. Thanks

I totally agree that experimenting is a great way to learn. I have my students/trainees do lots of it.The point I am trying to make is that you can NOT learn very quickly some of the most important things you need to know to design a good database by just looking at code/designs unless you understand the theory. You do not have to follow my advice, it is your choice. I am just trying to save you years of trials and lots of errors.

Thanks.

At first I thought you were stalking me or something. Because it sounds more like your actually trying to sell me something, I am less inclined to think you want sex.
