Does anyone know how I can limit what a person has to select from based on their username. I have the combo box linked to a query "qryDeptName". I know how to limit the records a person sees based on their username but the combo boxes on the form allows for that same person to choose what department they are from and they could very easily select another department name and save the data which defeats the purpose of exclusivity.
The form is based on a query which only allows for the certain records to be viewed, edited, deleted ect..
They are in data entry mode (unless they perform a query of records which only brings up records dependent upon their username) when they open up the form they must select via combo box what deptartment they are reporting from.
I want their department to automatically be chosen based on their username or limit what they can select using the combo box.
I could have their username match the "department name" and do it like that but there are so many sub departments and this is not what I want to do.
