Hi,
I currently have a number of graphs within an Excel 2000 spreadsheet which I have set up as linked objects within a number of reports which update automatically when you open the reports in Access 2000.
I would like to use code to update this link by pushing a button within a form and set the property of the linked object to manual update instead. This allows me to give the user the option to update the graphs at any point in time.
The other problem I am having is that I copy the database to a CD for the users to view the graphs and reports within the database, however the links to the graphs will not function as the are looking at the excel spreadsheet which resides on the network. Is there a way I can use code to change the path to the linked excel spreadsheet and look at the cd rom for the files instead.
I would appreciate any help to get me started as I have been looking for solutions to these problem but I have had no luck to date.
Thanks in advance.
