I am trying to lock a field "Operator" with a password so only a specific person can use there name on the form. What is the best way to go about doing this?

Make a database with persons names and a password and Yes/No fields for what you want and dont want them to do such as updating.
Pass this through a query to filter only names for UPDATING
Use the query for a combo box
Use the onchange event to run an event to turn off the locks on the fields that the person is permitted to update if there have the permission by testing the yes no fields.
