locking backround in place

I have a report that uses an embedded ole layout as a backround and has data controls at various places in the forground. My problem is that the backround is not locked and moves around quite a bit. When it does the data brought in from the table gets out of line. Is there any way I can lock the backround in place?

Where are you anchoring the background image?

What is the image you are using. This is easy to do for forms because these have objects of fixed dimension so you can manipulate the image height or width buy stretching horizontally or vertically.

Looking at the reports if you put an Image Control in the Detail this will be of a fixed height and width. What you seem to what is dynamically setting the height according to amount of information and the height of the Detail section.

I would suggest try putting a proper image in the Report and then specify Stretch Vertical. Obviously this is going to start at the top of the Report and it will have a variable height and so you might need to a Blank Image on Header and Footer Sections so that the background image only affects the Detail Section.
