Locking records

I would like your opinion on this. I have a ms access database that will be used in a multi-user environment, a form will display records loaded in a table showing open items. I want to make sure that when a user queues up records and is working on editing an item other users cannot override the record. My first thought would be to place the record locking option to “Edited Record” is there anything else you suggest that I can build in VBA?
