I have all my active databases on the same shared folder over the server. Database A has three tables linked to database B. The problem is that every morning when we log into database A, the link to one of the tables is missing, always the same table. I re-linked the table in the mornings, users log in and out during the day, no problems at all, the next day, gone again!

Both databases are .mdes. We are using Access 2003. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Maritza

Curious

If the databases where never moved to a different location why would the connection be lost?

The are some workarounds:

1-You could reattach each table each time you open the database automatically.
2-You could try to use a UNC path to connect the tables to the other database.

I would go for the first. Never fails. It slows starting up down a bit.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply. I feel that I shouldn't have to be re-linking these tables on a daily basis. Remember, only one table out of the three that I have linked, looses the link, no problems at all with the other two. All three belong to the same database, and the location of the database does not change.

Any ideas of what could be causing this problem?
