Macro To Create Customized Page Numbering

I asked the question, is it possible to subscript the page numbering in a Microsoft Word document in the 'Word' forum, but did not get a response. We have a Microsoft Word document with 172 pages and we would like to insert a page without changing the page numbering. For instance, if we add a page after page 155, we would like the new page to have a page number of 155-1, without changing any of the following pages numbers. Is it possible to wrtite a macro to do this ? Thanks ! ! !
