Masking data in a report

Hello all:

I just wondering if anyone know if it's possible to mask data in a report? I have a report that contains a field for an ID number. Depending upon who is receiving the report only a partial ID number can be shown. Example: Instead of showing ID#: 123456 the report can only show ***456.

Any thoughts on how this could be done, if can be done?

Just create a New column in the Report's record source, something as simple as,

NewID : "***" & Right(yourIDFieldName, 3)

Then set this new column as the control source for the report's ID column.
