Seems like the residents of New York City have elected another cardboard entity that is under the mind control of the Democratic party. Once again the simplistic stale narrative is that we must impose onerous laws concerning an inanimate object (guns) to resolve societal problems. That is misplaced. To solve societal problems, one must look into the culture. In this case, many in the Black community need to reflect on the fact that many Blacks don't value human life, have no respect for the rule of law, and that the Black family (culture) was broken by the programs of the Great Society. Passing harsh laws concerning the possession of an inanimate object will not motivate the Back community heal itself.

Finally, what is the point of passing grandiose laws to "solve" a problem when the New York City prosecutor won't even prosecute certain crimes?

That pretty much sums up the dilemma.

I felt much safer when Martha Stewart was in jail.
