Me Quit!

Hey all,

After many years with the forum I have decided to call it quits.
Many thanks to those I learned from and those who kept me in good spirits.

I may pop in if things change, but for now I am calling it quits with the access forums. I hope I was able to help when help was needed.

Why?

Changed software, changed position, was told to get rid of my signature on the site and I did not agree with it , besides I don't use the forum much. Just wanted to say good bye to all the great people on the site.

Who told you to get rid of your signature? Despite the fact that you hate Access, you were quite helpful to many people. I would be sorry to see you go. Especially over something like a signature. Other people also advertise, I don't know why you should be singled out.

Well the main thing is ... I was not advertising. If you click that link you will notice that page is empty. I was certainly not selling anything. There is no pricing information nor services provided. It was my attempt to get better at PHP and HTML, nothing more. It merely looks like a service since I actually talk about "real-world" application services. Names are unimportant as to who asked me to get rid of it. But I thank you Pat for all your help through my programming experiences, especially with things unrelated to access such as other rdbms and odbc connections, end users, etc. etc. Your words of wisdom have changed my thinking in the way I design applications.

Just wanted to say "Thanks!" for all the help in the past Jon - definitely helped me get my feet wet with transition to SQL Server Connections and the like....
