Merging with Word (1 Viewer)

Is there any way to use the macro feature in Access to start Word, grab a file, merge the query you have set up, print the letters, then exit back out to the switchboard? Is this something that should be done in V.B., or can I do this in the basic Macro area. Please note I can get Access to perform my query, and launch Word, but unfortunately I can get it to go no further than this spot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Once you leave Access (e.g., Open Word) Access no longer has power over this area in fact it has two modes in which it will run. One is that after it Opens Word it will continue with the code. (default) and the other is that it will wait for Access to get the focus again (e.g., Word Closes). I recommend taking the time to use the Rich Text Box Feature of Access and doing your letters through there.
