My wife has recently passed a couple of exams working towards obtaining MOS certification using Office 2010

I'm still using Access 2003 & was a little curious to see what it was all about so I tried a few of the on-line test questions to see for myself but quickly failed on the first three.

Apart from 2010 looking completely different to 2003 I was struggling getting to grips on how to correctly answer the questions the way it was expected of you. What I mean is that I even though I knew how to provide a solution to the questions I failed because I did not do it via the method they wanted you to do it by.
As you know there are many ways to skin a cat.

I understand that Microsoft probably wants users to demonstrate that they fully understand how the system works by not taking short cuts like I was doing but at the end of the day if you can obtain the same results then why should you be penalised.

To me this is like a student in a maths class that fails because they answered a question without using a calculator because it’s more important to demonstrate the ability to use a calculator rather than producing the correct answer.

I think it will be easier for a total novice who has never seen Access before to go through the course & pass rather than it would be for me who has been using access “incorrectly” for the last 13 or so years.
