guys and gals,

I'm missing the 'hibernate' tab in my power options dialog in the CP. I bought this IBM on Ebay. According to MS, there are multiple causes for this issue, but the one that strikes me is having a non-compatible ACPI machine.

Is also makes sense to me though, that I might be missing some sort of driver that allows hibernation and "standby" mode to take place on my machine.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?? My computer guy told me that the 'DriverAgent' software works well for finding device updates that are needed, and for drivers that are potentially missing....but I don't think I believe the latter part of that. How could software tell if you're missing a driver that you "might" need??

Anyway, can anyone help me out here?? Solutions certainly welcome. Thanks!
