Modified Time/User

I just want to add two fields into the current Access2000 FE/SQL2000 BE database. ~ lastmodifiedDate (datetime) and lastmodifiedBy (char) to record who is the person who edit the record and what time s/he edits the record.

I had been working on the AfterUpdate() in Access, the lastmodifiedDate works but it recorded the time for the entire table, not specific record. The lastmodifiedBy has an error message.

Can anyone give me an idea how can I do this?
