I was going to build a database from scratch for a co-worker when I reviewed the "Issue Tracking" database from the templates for Access 2010. It will work great however, they want the word "Issue" changed to "Request" on EVERYTHING. Is there an easy way to do this? It will affect table names, titles, code. Is this advisable? This simple database has some good features already built in but my previous experience has been changing names usually causes problems with the code. Suggestions?

You are quite right concerning changes. But well...

Download the free V-tools, there is a global replace facility (tables, queries, forms, code , macros, the whole enchilada). Close your eyes, press the button and wait for the explosion :D

But wait: what's inside the DB is not their business, it's only the visible bits that need change in the name shown, right? Now that is a lesser task.

thanks, I took a "leap of faith" and made the changes to all the "issues" I could find including looking in the macros and VBA. I must have been pretty thorough as everything appears to be working. :-)

I will reference this link though for that find and replace tool for the future!
