Modifying Table From Form

I don't know why this of all things has got me so stumped.

I have a textbox (Text37) that will take a single digit integer. I have another Integer (CurrentID) as well. I have a Table ("Article: Ratings"). The Table has three fields (Rating, Article ID, Primary Key). I need a piece of code or Macro for a button that will make a new entry in that Table and place Text37 in Rating and CurrentID in Article ID. Primary Key is autonumbering. If possible, I'd also like to refresh the form so that another text box I have that calculates average rating will be updated.

If anyone can help me with this it would solve for me one of the last hurdles of a rather intense learning experience.

An Append Query will do what you want, but there may be another solution. Is the current form based on another table? Are the two tables related? It sounds like they should be and that you should have a form/subform combination so that your entries can be entered directly into the table in question.
