More than 2 backcolors in a report??

Hello all,

I was wondering if it was possible to set each group of a report a different back color. I have a report that will run one "project" and each project could have a different "category", some projects with only 1 category and some with a dozen. I don't want to use the alternate rows because I want each category to have a distinct color.

I am leaning towards reworking my table and forms to include a long color for each category. Then dlookup the lngColor for each group and paint the background of each group. I am not sure this is the best way to do this and wanted to reach out before I made the changes to see if that was a viable option or a better one hangs out there.

I think you can set the colour in the OnFormat event.
