Multi column Subreport "Down, then across" Issues ...

I've got a main report with a subreport that is a 2 column report.

Does anyone know how to get the "Down, then across" layout to work as a subreport? I can get the "Across, then Down" layout to show up correctly, but its not what I'm looking for.

The subreport control is large enough to allow for multiple columns, it's just that particular layout that isn't working.

Any ideas?

It appears that creating a Fixed height for the subreport control fixes the issue. Makes sense if you think the report is always going to grow down I guess.

I've tried fixing the height of the subReport control in the main report, the sub Report Detail section and the controls in the sub Report. In one instance, I got a single page report of the fixed height with 2 columns but page 2 and beyond was not generated. What should I try next?
