i am completing my it coursework at the minute and have come across a great problem, non of the teachers know how to solve the problem, so im asking you. i am doing my project on a snoker club which has three rooms and in each room there are many tables. a person can book a table by phoning and the deatails will be recorded.
what i want is two drop down menus

1st drop down menu: i would like this to have the names of the snooker room on. basic, deluxe, super deluxe. each of these rooms have a different amount of tables in it.

2nd drop down member: i would like this to automatically put the correct tables into the room which is selected in the first drop down menu. so if basic was selected in drop down menu 1, the tables green, blue, red, pink, orange will be able to be booked. if deluxe room is chosen in drop down menu 1, black, silver, gold, white, purple, grey. and when super deluxe room is selected in drop down menu 1, yellow, brown, terquoise, beige.

thank you any information that you can supply me with.

On the first combobox's AfterUpdate() event you could use it to change the value list of the second

i.e.

Code:
Private Sub cboRoom_AfterUpdate()
   Select Case cboRoom
      Case Is = "Basic"
         cboTables.ValueList = "'Green';'Blue';'Red';'Pink';'Orange'"
      Case Is = "Deluxe"
         cboTables.ValueList = "'Black';'Silver';'Gold';'White';'Purple';'Grey'"
      Case Is = "Super Deluxe"
         cboTables.ValueList = "'Yellow';'Brown';'Torquoise';'Beige'"
   End Select
End Sub

Search here for Cascading Combo boxes, there are links to examples on many of the posts
