Hello,

I am creating reports for a given quarter, which will then be grouped by ClientServed. Each client can be served multiple times/quarters.

If and only if the client was served in this quarter will they be in the report.

When that client is listed, I need their past history of services to display as well.

Now... I need a bar graph with each client that shows their trend over time (bar graph). If they weren't served in a ccertain past quarter, that will be a blank gap in the graph.

Report: Q1-2010

Client-A
....Q1-2010 Info from table.
....Bar graph with summary of Q1-2010 and all past (limited to a cerain # quarters at some point).

Client-B
....Q1-2010 Info from table.
....Bar graph with summary of Q1-2010 and all past.

Note that client B was omitted because they were not served in Q1-2010.

Having some realy serious trouble getting all the past information for each client in this quarter. Also stuck on getting a graph to show that information. Just not sure how to approach and not finding a good starting point. Any tips or tricks here?

Thank you!!

Just wanted to follow up on this and briefly provide some answers in case someone else has the same issue.

First, the number output of the query should be formatted to a number format. Didn't realize they were not.

Also, It is important (of course) to pick the right values in the query for the chart. Access would never let me do this properly, and always wanted to choose "sum". Go ahead and finish the chart wizard regardless, and go back and modify the query source for the chart afterwards.

Finally, make sure you view print preview to see the charts!
